Founded in 1940 at Muri beach, Rarotonga, the RSC has grown to become the premiere Sailing Club in the Cook Islands.

We are a community focused club offering Learn to Sail, Junior & Youth development, Club Sailing and Racing programmes to members, our community and visitors from around the world.

In addition to our top class sailing facilities the club also has a top quality onsite bar and restaurant (RSC Beachfront Bar and Brasserie).

The Rarotonga Sailing club has the ultimate beachfront location on the white sandy beaches of Muri Lagoon with unparalleled lagoon views.

The 6th annual Muri Lagoon Beach Cleanup took place last Saturday, marking another successful year for this fantastic community event. Organised by Muri Environment Care in collaboration with Te Ipukarea Society, Infrastructure Cook Islands, and the Rarotonga Sailing Club. Eighteen sailors from Rarotonga, Aitutaki, and New Zealand’s Picton, Buckland’s Beach, and Mangawhai sailing and yacht clubs raced each other in match racing and fleet racing in perfect conditions earlier this month. Organised by the “awesome Aitutaki Electron Sailing Club”, led by Thomas Koteka and Ted Tavai with help from many on Aitutaki, the event held earlier this month was hailed as a monumental success. · Read more
